Operations & Systems Accountant (“OSA”) - Johannesburg
The OSA role bridges finance and technology, ensuring integrated and aligned business
operations by managing financial systems, processes, and data, while also contributing to strategic financial planning. The OSA sits in the Finance function alongside the Commercial Accountant and reports directly to the CFO. Primary responsibilities include finance partnering with the Service & Maintenance (“S&M”) division as well as managing all system accounting requirements, including the ERP (Unleashed), CRM (Prospect), accounting (Xero), and reporting (Power BI) systems. Success in the role requires advanced skills in data modelling, Excel, SQL, and data visualisation methods. Skills in offshore manufacturing operations and exports will allow the OSA to manage and process all ERP accounting requirements. The role includes transaction processing responsibilities e.g., capturing customers, raising sales orders, invoicing, etc. Ideally, the OSA will be a qualified accountant, capable of analysing business performance and providing recommendations for improvement. Additional responsibilities include system optimisation, automation, implementation, preparing financial management reports, budgeting, forecasting and managing cash flow.

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
· Relevant certifications (e.g., CA(SA), ACMA) may be an advantage.
Salary offer: R1.2M TCTC per annum
Key Responsibilities:
Financial System Management:
· Overseeing and maintaining financial systems i.e., ERP (Unleashed), accounting (Xero), CRM (Prospect) ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
· Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance system performance.
· Managing user access, permissions, and system configurations.
· Data Integrity and Accuracy:
· Ensuring data accuracy and consistency across different systems.
· Performing data reconciliations and audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
· Developing and implementing data quality control measures.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
· Generating reports and dashboards to provide insights into operational performance.
· Analysing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
· Supporting budget planning and forecasting activities.
Process Improvement and Automation:
· Identifying areas for process improvement and automation within financial operations.
· Developing and implementing new processes and workflows to enhance efficiency.
· Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
· Collaboration and Communication:
· Working closely with other departments (e.g., S&M, Operations) to ensure seamless integration of financial systems and processes and provide accurate and meaningful financial insights.
· Communicating financial information clearly and concisely to the S&M team, Operations, Finance, and other relevant stakeholders.
Compliance and Controls:
· Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
· Implementing and maintaining internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
· Financial Modelling and Strategic Insights:
· Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, improve cash flow, and inform business growth strategies.
